A Warzone Request: Please Sleep With Us
Ok not literally, but near us. Like in a hotel room, at the event hotel but we got your attention right?
This year Warzone: Atlanta will be held at the Atlanta DoubleTree by Hilton

The convention rate is $139 a night for a double, so $70 a night if you split with another person, which by Atlanta standards is an attractive rate. Hey, you get free cookies upon arrival as well.
Why reserve a room at the hotel?
As we wrote about in the Tournament Economics 101 briefing, The General Staff believes that holding the event at a hotel is an important perk of convenience and safety. When we sign a contract with a hotel we are beholden to a certain amount of rooms being filled during our event. If we fail to meet the minimum of our contract we are charged a significant amount of money for that. For a small non-profit like what runs Warzone: Atlanta that is disastrous and can jeopardize the possibility of future events.
So why reserve a room? Do it for yourself first. Being able to enjoy yourself and not have to worry about driving anywhere else is a huge burden that you may not realize you are carrying when you go to
another event not held at a hotel. Then secondly do it for WZA. We want to continue running this event for our community and filling these rooms is imperative to that goal.
Why are we telling you all of this?
These hobbies we involve ourselves in are expensive and time consuming. We understand that as we are also enthusiasts to these game systems and have a passion to provide our community with the best investment of time and money that we can. We never want to appear to be making a pretty dollar off of our players and so we have decided that transparency is the best approach to conveying this to our players.
